Catalyst AV, a national network of residential and pro A/V distributors, has added a 12 member to its ranks and a new director to its board.
The latest member addition is Massachusetts-based Professional Audio Associates, a 40-year-old distributor of LG, Parasound, Proficient, Sonos, Triad, URC and other product lines led by president Lewis Freedman, who serves the New England market with two warehouses and a crew of 20.
Joining Catalyst’s board is Ron Perron, principal and president of HCA Distributing. The Denver-based business was launched in 1996 and offers over 80 lines out of its two warehouses, in Colorado and Salt Lake City.
“Having been involved with the board for some time in an advisory capacity, my goals are to continue to assist in building the Catalyst AV brand and to help maximize the group’s value to its members and vendor partners,” he said.
Perron joins fellow board members Dan Haight, Pioneer Music Co., Chris Gentile, AHA Distributing, and executive director Helge Fischer. Founding board member Wally Whinna of Allnet Distributing stays on as special advisor, and has been joined in that role by Brett Neiderman of Tech Source Distributors.
Founded in 2012, Catalyst AV serves more than 16,000 integration specialists nationwide out of 27 distribution centers.
