Will T-Mobile’s Super Bowl Ad Beat Last Year’s Kim Kardashian Spot?

T-Mobile will be back with a Super Bowl ad for the third consecutive year, but this time it’s not telegraphing who will appear in the ad.

Last year, TV personality Kim Kardashian West starred in T-Mobile’s Super Bowl spot, and in 2014, T-Mobile’s first Super Bowl ad starred football star Tim Tebow.

In a teaser on You Tube for this year’s ad, the carrier makes references to Clydesdales, Doritos, Justin Bieber, Betty White and the hammer-wielding girl in Apple’s famous 1984 Super Bowl ad. But the teaser goes on to say, “None of this will be in our ads. And the carriers will hate it.”

Another tech giant advertising during the Super Bowl is LG, which teased an ad starring Liam Neeson to promote OLED TV technology.
