Norwood, Mass. — Transformative Engineering launched a less-expensive HDMI extender to complement its flagship model.
The new $349-suggested HLE-1 Lite HDMI Extender incorporates the latest HDBaseT technology, called HDBaseT Lite, to extend HDMI signals up 70 meters over a single CAT-5e or CAT-6 cable.
The Transformative Engineering HLE-1 kit consists of one HLE-1TX HDMI transmitter module, one HLE-1RX HDMI receiver module, and a 24-volt power supply. The power supply connects to the transmitter but also provides remote power to the receiver module.
The HLE-1 comes with single HDMI input, one HDBaseT RJ45 output, and bi-directional IRDA connections, which are also Xantech-compatible. The HLE-1 supports 4K by 2K transmission, 3D, and all current audio formats, including DTS-HD and Dolby TrueHD.
The system also features a vented steel case, built-in diagnostic indicator lights for monitoring performance and operation, and built-in fully automatic cable-length compensation.
