Majap upstart Thor Kitchen is at it again, this time launching a compact pro-style indoor/outdoor refrigerator drawer at a competitively-priced suggested retail of $1,299.
The Chino, Calif.-based company, led by managing director Kyle You and product development manager Shaun Lin, is looking to make a name for itself in the increasingly crowded mass-premium appliance segment. Its debut play this past spring was a four-piece, pro-look kitchen suite for under $5,000 retail.

This time around, the company is offering what it describes as “the most affordable 24-inch outdoor refrigerator drawer in the industry.” The unit features 304 stainless steel, 5.3 cubic feet of storage capacity and a ventilated cooling system that maintains steady temperatures between 32 and 50 degrees.
“We’re seeing homeowners use refrigerator drawers as a flexible storage space that responds to their changing needs throughout the day,” said You. “You can store fresh fruits in the morning for breakfast, keep beverages cool during an afternoon barbecue, or craft a cocktail station for evening entertaining.”

Other features include digital controls, automatic defrost, LED interior lights, self-close hinges and pro-style handles.
Thor added that the unit is ETL-rated for indoor/outdoor use, and can be flush-mounted under a kitchen counter or employed as a standalone compact fridge as needed.
The company said it designs its products in California, sources their components worldwide, and assembles the finished goods in China to keep costs low.
