Sprint Offers 1 Year Of Free Amazon Prime With Phone Purchase

Sprint hopes to accelerate its pace of postpaid-phone activations during the holiday selling season by offering one free year of Amazon Prime service with the purchase of select Samsung phones through Sprint stores.

Amazon Prime, which normally costs $99/year, provides unlimited two-day shipping on more than 20 million items purchased on Amazon, unlimited streaming of movies and TV episodes from Prime Video, access to ad-free streaming of more than 1 million songs and personalized stations through Prime Music, and unlimited photo storage with Prime Photos.

The offer is available through Nov. 25 for existing Sprint customers who upgrade or add a new line of service and to new subscribers who switch to Sprint.

Qualified Samsung smartphones include the Samsung Galaxy S6, Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ and Samsung Note 5. The offer is available to consumers whether they lease the phone, buy it under contract, or buy it without contract up front or through an Easy Pay two-year installment-payment plan.

The offer is available through Sprint-brand stores, Sprint at RadioShack, and Sprint’s toll-free 1-800-Sprint1 number.
