Sony Electronics introduced a new in-dash receiver with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The XAV-AX100 receiver features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for accessing music, GPS, making phone calls and sending messages through the touchscreen or using voice control. It comes with a 6.4-inch touchscreen with 800 by 400 resolution, and has 55-watt output power, Sony’s Extra Bass sound technology, 10-band graphic equalizer, Bluetooth, three pre-out connectivity, a sub out and a rearview camera input.
It does not have an aux input, video output or NFC pairing.
The XAV-AX100 will be available for a $499 suggested retail in November.
