City of Industry, Calif. — Sceptre is pushing the fashion envelope on DVD/LCD TV combos, with the introduction of a new 32-inch model that will be available in an assortment of loud, festive colors through the brand’s Color series.
Sceptre’s new 32-inch LED backlit 720p HDTV has a built-in DVD player, is Energy Star v6.1 compliant, and is available in a selection of festive bezel and body colors, including blue, pink, purple and white. It carries a $399 suggested retail.
Sceptre is positioning the set for dorm room, loft or RV placements.
The company said the TVs offer the convenience of mobility and adaptability without the hassle of connecting wires between the DVD player and TV screen.
It features a brush-metal design, is wall-mountable and has a swivel base.
Other features include a 16:9 widescreen ratio with a 1,366 by 768 native resolution, 8ms response time and three HDMI ports.
The Color series set will be available through such leading CE retailers as Amazon, Best Buy, Costco, Kmart, Newegg, QVC, Sam’s Club, Target, Sears’ Marketplace and Walmart.
