Sony is hailing its RX0 II as the “world’s smallest and lightest premium ultra-compact camera.”
Measuring 2.32 by 0.57 by 1.38 inches and weighing 0.42 ounces, the diminutive digicam features a 15.3-megapixel image sensor, as well as a Zeiss Tessar T* 24mm F4 fixed wide-angle lens that can focus at just 7.8 inches. It’s also waterproof, shockproof, dustproof and even crushproof, according to the company.
Other specs include a 180-degree tilting LCD panel, 4K 30p video recording and in-body electronic stabilization. Up to five RX0 II cameras can be controlled wirelessly using the company’s Imaging Edge Mobile app, and five to 50 cameras will be able to be controlled via an access point beginning this summer.
The RX0 II will ship in April for $700.
