New Naxa NHS-5002 Soundbar Speaks Alexa

Naxa Electronics has debuted a voice-powered soundbar incorporating Amazon’s Alexa voice assistant.

The NHS-5002, a 42-inch TV soundbar, uses Amazon Alexa to play music and to get information, news, sports scores, weather, and everything else Alexa does. The speaker is certified for use with popular music streaming services including Amazon Music, Audible, Spotify, Tidal, iHeartRadio, and Rhapsody. It has both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity.

The free Naxa companion app for mobile devices controls functions via Wi-Fi. Far-field microphones allow for always-on Alexa voice control.

The soundbar boasts a total output power of 40 watts with two 10-watt drivers and two 10-watt subwoofers.

The NHS-5002 uses Wi-Fi to enable wireless multi-room speaker configurations of up to six speakers. Input sources are Bluetooth, optical, RCA stereo, and 3.5mm AUX. It also includes and FM radio tuner.

Available in Q1, the Naxa NHS-5002 will retail for $149.99.
