DALLAS — Last week’s Nationwide PrimeTime show here also served as a welcome party for Hank Alexander.
The industry veteran was tapped as director of Specialty Electronics Nationwide (SEN), the group’s specialty A/V and custom-integration chapter.
Alexander has over 20 years’ experience on both the dealer and manufacturer sides, having served at Montana CE/majap chain Vann’s and with vendors Niles Audio, Crestron, Core Brands and Clare Controls.
Tom Hickman, who heads Nationwide’s CE efforts as electronics senior VP, said SEN will be especially critical to the group’s success in the burgeoning connected- home segment.
“We’re reinvesting in that business,” he said of the chapter.
SEN members will also be assisted by the group’s new eXchange buying portal (see story, above), which will give them ready access to inventory from custom-install distributors.
Alexander fills a year-long vacancy left by the departure of founding director Jeannette Howe.
