Englewood Cliffs, N.J. – LG Electronics USA will present a concert performance by Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga, “Cheek to Cheek LIVE!,” next month on PBS, and the concert will be streamed later this year in 4K Ultra HD resolution via Amazon’s Instant Video streaming service.
LG is calling the event “the world’s first concert to be streamed in Ultra HD.”
The concert event was filmed this summer in Ultra HD at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Frederick P. Rose Hall in New York in front of a live audience of fans and invited guests. LG is the official Ultra HD sponsor of “Cheek to Cheek: LIVE!,” allowing Amazon Instant Video customers to stream the performance in the highest resolution at no added cost when it becomes available.
Produced by Thirteen Productions for WNET, the high-definition version of the concert will air nationwide on “Great Performances” series on PBS on Oct. 24.
The announcement coincides with today’s release of Bennett and Gaga’s “Cheek to Cheek” album collaboration of jazz standards.

LG was the first to introduce Ultra HD TV to the United States. Its 2014 Ultra HD LED lineup features 16 models ranging from 40- to 105-inches.
The “Cheek To Cheek” album is being released today by Streamline/Columbia/Interscope and will be available on Amazon.com for MP3 download and CD purchase. Amazon.com vinyl availability of the album will begin on Oct. 7.
