LG Electronics USA is shipping its latest compact home theater projector, the LG ProBeam.
The laser projector weighs less than 5 pounds and can deliver a 120-inch picture at up to 2,000 lumens of brightness, the company said.
It is equipped with LG’s webOS Smart TV platform, and its Magic remote control allows for easy navigation of the webOS interface.
LG said the ProBeam’s vertical auto keystone alignment feature automatically detects and corrects any screen image distortion and can be used for fine tuning adjustments if needed, while a Bluetooth audio out allows it to be paired with any Bluetooth audio product such as an external speaker or headphones.
Users will “never worry about screen distortion,” said Tim Alessi, the vendor’s head of home entertainment product marketing.
In addition, the projector’s wireless mirroring feature utilizes Miracast to project content from smart devices, and features Wireless Content Share via the LG TV Plus app.
The ProBeam is available now through U.S. retailers at a suggested price of $1,500.
