Klipsch revealed the first fruits of its partnership with Capitol Records: a line of co-branded speakers.
The special-edition Heritage and Heritage Wireless offering includes the Capitol One tabletop speaker, Capitol Three tabletop system and Capitol Heresy loudspeaker. Each purchase comes with a redemption code for a free Capitol Records vinyl album.
The “semi-portable” Capitol One features Bluetooth 4.0, eight-hour battery life, 3.5mm input, two 2.25-inch drivers and a 4.5-inch woofer. It measures 12.7 by 6.1 by 5.3 inches and weighs 8.5 pounds. Suggested retail is $299.
The Capitol Three tabletop system ($499) features Bluetooth with AptX, as well as Wi-Fi and DTS Play-Fi. The accompanying Klipsch Stream app enables multi-room music streaming. Other features include analog and USB inputs, photo pre-amp, two 2.25-inch drivers, 5.25-inch long-throw woofer, dual 5.25-inch passive radiators, and a 192kHz/24-bit digital-to-analog converter. It measures 13.7 by 7 by 8 inches and weighs 10.3 pounds.
Finally, the Capitol Heresy III loudspeaker ($1,299) boasts a three-way driver design with a 12-inch woofer, horn-loaded mid-range and tweeter, and a handmade real wood veneer cabinet.
All three speakers are available in two finish options: Blonde with a tan grille cloth, or Ebony with a black and white grille cloth. They will be available direct from Klipsch and through select retailers.
