JVC TV Reaches NFLA Sponsorship Deal

Irvine, Calif. — AmTran Video (AVC), which sells TVs in the United States under the JVC brand, said Thursday that it has reached an agreement to become the national sponsor of the NFL Alumni’s (NFLA) chapter charity golf tournaments.

As part of the partnership, JVC TV by AmTran will be the HDTV of choice for the NFLA’s Pro Football Legends.

The NFLA has more than 25 active chapters across the United States, which each host a golf tournament to raise money for local charities in its respective region.

AmTran will donate JVC televisions to auction off at the fundraising events to support the NFLA’s philanthropic efforts, which include charities such as Boys and Girls Clubs of America, DARE, Special Olympics, YMCA, Make A Wish Foundation, Autism Speaks and more.

“Our chapter golf tournaments are a huge aspect of our fundraising efforts for numerous charities around the country,” said Joe Pisarcik, NFLA president and CEO. “We are excited to have AmTran on board to support our efforts, and we look forward to this new partnership and the many positive ways we can work together.”

The winning team from each of the chapter events competes in the annual nationwide Super Bowl of Golf, which AmTran will also sponsor.

“The NFL Alumni Association has an incredible track record of sponsoring highly popular events that draw big crowds for worthwhile causes,” said Drew Pragliola, sales and marketing senior VP for AVC. “It’s a thrill to see the JVC brand associated with such exciting and important fundraisers throughout the country.”
