Irvine, Calif. — AmTran Video said Wednesday that its 65-inch JVC-branded Diamond-series 4K Ultra HD LED LCD TV will be available later this month.
The JVC DM65USR ($1,999 suggested retail) features direct LED backlighting, 10-bit color depth and advanced dynamic contrast performance, in addition to four-times greater resolution than FullHD 1080p sets.
Other features include advanced Ultra HD up-scaling technology that boosts standard HD picture quality to near Ultra HD levels.
The JVC DM65USR incorporates CrystalMotion Pro, which delivers a 240Hz refresh rate for fast motion images.
The company said the set’s built-in CrystalColor XD circuitry produces a “50M:1 dynamic contrast ratio.”
The direct LED backlit local dimming system offers scene-by-scene adjustment for deeper blacks and increased contrast.
Also featured is JVC’s onboard XinemaSound 3D system, a proprietary suite of acoustic and digital signal processing technologies, with 15 watts per channel stereo sound output.
Other features include HDMI-Consumer Electronics Control (CEC) capabilities to control with one remote up to 15 CEC-compatible HDMI devices, including a Roku Streaming Stick. The remote has a full QWERTY keyboard for easy data input.
Source connections include five HDMI inputs: one HDMI 1.4 port and four HDMI 2.0 ports with HDCP 2.2 content protection.
“Our inaugural UHD model gives consumers a compelling reason to make the leap to Ultra HD,” stated Drew Pragliola, AmTran Video sales and marketing senior VP. “We combined our new UHD display with an extensive feature set, including up-scaling technology that elevates HD programming to a near-Ultra HD experience.”
JVC plans to ship similarly featured Diamond-series 4K UHD TVs in the 55- and 85-inch screen sizes in coming weeks, AmTran said.
