Count in Jam Audio as the latest company to incorporate Amazon’s Alexa voice assistant.
The Jam Voice is the company’s first voice-operated smart speaker and among the first wave of non-Amazon speakers in the marketplace to utilize Alexa Voice service.
Added functionality in the Jam Voice includes most of Alexa’s capabilities including: streaming audio from Spotify, iHeartRadio, Pandora, personal music libraries and other music services available with Alexa; Wi-Fi connectivity to link to multiple Wi-Fi speakers; news, traffic and weather reports; smart home device control; alarms and timers; and downloadable skills using the Alexa app that are regularly updated and expanded by Amazon.
Jam Voice will initially be available at Best Buy on Oct. 30. It will retail for $70.
“Since the inception of Jam Audio, our mission has been to provide consumers with high-quality products that utilize the latest technologies at significantly lower prices,” said John Mikkola, director of product development. “Our latest offering, Jam Voice, provides everyone a chance to enjoy the convenience of a virtual assistant, making daily life tasks easier.”
