Acer took the wraps off what it’s hailing as the “world’s lightest” 15-inch notebook: the 2.2-pound Swift 5.
Powered by the 8th Generation Intel Core i7 and i5 processors and featuring up to 10 hours of battery life, the notebook has a 15.6-inch display with a FullHD IPS touchscreen. The narrow bezel is said by the company to provide an 87.6 percent screen-to-body ratio. It also comes with built-in 4G LTE connectivity.
The top and bottom covers of the Swift 5 are engineered from magnesium-lithium alloy, and it has a magnesium-aluminum alloy palm rest and backlit keyboard. The chassis measures a reported 0.63 inches thick.
