West Covina, Calif. – E Fun launched its first quad-core Android tablet, the Nextbook 8 at $99.
The company rolled out the device through Walmart stores nationwide and through Walmart.com. Additional distribution is in the works, E Fun said.
The Google-certified tablet features Android 4.2 with the ability to update to Android 4.4 in July, a 7.85-inch 1,024 by 768 capacitive touchscreen, quad-core 1.6GHz CPU, 1GB RAM, 8GB embedded memory 64GB MicroSD slot, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, USB 2.0, dual webcams with microphone, 2-megapixel back camera, 0.3-megapixel front camera and built-in G sensor.
E Fun entered the North American market in late 2010.
