DPI Unveils ‘Lamp Freedom Program’

Atlanta — High-performance projector manufacturer Digital Projection International (DPI), unveiled Thursday a Lamp Freedom Program, offering purchasers of new DPI projectors free replacement lamps in years two and three of product warranty.

DPI said the program is targeting both professional and residential end users and will be applied to projectors purchased between May 1 and June 30.

The Lamp Freedom program will apply to Highlite- or Titan-series projectors sold by authorized DPI commercial A/V or home cinema dealers in the Americas or Canada, the company said.

“Lamp replacement costs are a key concern when calculating the long-term cost of ownership of high-brightness projectors.  DPI’s Lamp Freedom program ensures that end users purchasing DPI displays within the allotted program dates will receive a dramatically reduced cost of ownership benefit on their Highlite and Ttian projectors,” DPI said in a statement announcing the program.

Depending on the DPI projector model purchased, the program can represent more than $10,000 in lamp savings during the three-year warranty period. Customers with typical use applications, defined by DPI as 1,000 to 1,500 hours per year, should have no lamp purchase costs during the warranty period, according to DPI.
