Salt Lake City — Control4 acquired the home-automation products and intellectual property of Utah-based Card Access to complement its line of automation products.
Card Access products are designed to integrate with Control4 automation systems to wirelessly monitor and control doors, gates, garage doors, windows, temperature, blinds and gates, and projector screens. Card access products also turn fireplaces on and off and create control solutions based on room occupancy, event triggers, and motion or pressure sensors, the company said.
Control4 has been been the primary distributor of Card Access products for residential use for the past several years. Outside of home automation, Car Access produces hardware and software for the telematics, military, medical and a handful of other industries, Control4 said.
“With an extensive line of wireless home-automation products, the addition of the Card Access product line will enable Control4 dealers to add more convenience, comfort and control of smart devices in today’s smart home,” Control4 said.
Control4 is now providing all technical support for Card Access products.
For its home-automation systems, Control4 offers products that control of lighting, music, video, temperature, security and communications.
