Catalina Media (CML) is launching consumer multimedia products based on the Amlogic, ATI and Samsung chipset, with a plan for second-generation products based on SOC by Avid.
Devices include the HMC-800 home media center and the DF-810 digital photo bank, both of which incorporate a photo viewer and photo bank, video and audio player, and file-management functions. Both display JPEG and BMP digital photo files, store more than 400,000 high-resolution photos from the optional 80GB SATA HDD and offer slideshow playback with background music. Both also support variable viewing modes and 13 types of transition effects. The video and audio player function supports MPEG, Motion-JPEG, WMA and WAV files. Optional features include Wi-Fi connection, Bluetooth connection and DVB-T connection.
