Coastal Source is expanding its outdoor audio lineup with the introduction of CUBE, an outdoor subwoofer designed to empower installers to create a three dimensional listening experience. The CUBE 350-watt subwoofer features a 10″ bass driver in a small 16″ cube shape that can be mounted on hardscapes or softscapes.
“CUBE is designed and engineered from the bottom up to deliver audiophile quality bass from a classic, compact shape that blends into a landscape and provides years of outstanding performance in even the most challenging environments,” said Coastal Source CEO Franco D’Ascanio. “CUBE’s flexible design allows it to be mounted on any hard surface or in the landscape environment to enable the installer to place the bass source in the optimal location for the client.”
The subwoofer is designed to integratee into any Coastal Source Plug&Play audio system, and works with Razor, Contour, 8.0 Mini Ellipse Bollard, 10.0 Ellipse Bollard Satellite, or 10.0 2-way Ellipse Bollard. Vibration-reducing rubber feet ensure the subwoofer stays in place and doesn’t vibrate against the hardscape.
CUBE uses a color-through roto mold composite material for the enclosure, and the subwoofer cone is made of fiberglass and the surround is made of high-quality santoprene thermoplastic elastomer that will resist temperature extremes, UV, and water. The Plug&Play Coastal Source UniConnect 8C cable and connector system allows for quick installation with no tools or soldering.
CUBE will be featured at CEDIA 2024 in Booth #3533 at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, according to D’Ascanio.
