BOOX has announced the launch of its first 25.3-inch color E Ink monitor. Unlike the monochrome Mira Pro, the aptly named Mira Pro (Color Version) features a Kaleido 3 color ePaper screen with 16 levels of greyscale and 4096 colors. BOOX says that the new monitor is aimed at professionals, programmers, students, and other heavy screen users due to a more eye-friendly experience.
E Ink displays typically cause less eye strain than traditional LCD/LED monitors, and BOOX claims that the addition of color makes the new Mira Pro (Color Version) a great candidate for a primary or secondary screen for heavy screen users. The new monitor is powered by BOOX Super Refresh (BSR) technology, increasing refresh rates while alleviating ghosting. With four preset refresh modes, users can easily switch to the ideal setting for reading, typing, browsing, or watching videos. The Mira software allows further fine-tuning of Refresh Speed, Dark Color Enhancement, and Light Color Filter for truly customized viewing.
The BOOX Mira Pro is available to purchase from BOOX for $1899.99.
