The new iHome Control iSP8 SmartPlug extends the iHome Control family by adding a remote control. Turn on or off any small appliance (up to 1,800 watts) such as fans, lights, and heaters remotely or at home via the free iHome Control app. The new iSP8 also includes a free handheld remote control. With the remote you can control the SmartPlug from up to 35 feet away, and it’s ideal for allowing children and guests access to control the SmartPlug without the need of a smartphone or tablet. The iSP8 also adds an energy consumption monitoring feature via the app to monitor the energy costs of connected appliances. The iSP8 is compatible with Apple HomeKit and Siri to control connected appliances with a single voice command. It is also compatible with Nest, Wink, Amazon Alexa, SmartThings and Google Assistant.
