Channeling Mark Twain, a Sears spokesman said the retail chain disagrees with Business Insider’s declaration of its imminent demise, which was based on a Moody’s report.
“Sears ‘disagrees’ with a Business Insider story warning that the embattled department store and its struggling discount spin-off Kmart are facing their “imminent demise,” Sears spokesman Howard Riefs told Forbes. ‘We disagree with the opinions stated in the Business Insider report,’ he said. The story cited a note from Moody’s Investor Service.”
