Yamaha Intros Pro Headphones

Buena Park, Calif. — Yamaha’s A/V division introduced the three-model Pro line of headphones, scheduled to be available next month.

The Pro 300 on-ear headphones have 40mm drivers with impedance listed at 53 ohms at 1kHz and max power of 300mW. They come black, white or blue for a $199 suggested retail. The 4-foot flat cable features an in-line mic and controls.

The over-ear Pro 400 model ($299) has 50mm drivers and comes in black or white, while the Pro 500 ($399) adds aluminum alloy ear cups and an additional port on the ear cups. The aluminum alloy, a company spokesman told TWICE, provide more immersive audio with minimized distortion due to vibration.

Both the Pro 400 and 500 come with two detachable cables: one 4-foot with an in-line mic and controls and one 10-foot cable. Impedance is listed at 23 ohms at 1kHz with max power of 1,000 mW.

All have folding designs and padded headbands and come with a carrying case and a gold-plated 0.25-inch adapter.
