Cupertino, Calif. -
confirmed that it has again delayed shipments of its white iPhone 4, this time until the spring.
"We're sorry to disappoint customers waiting for the white iPhone yet again, but we've decided to delay its release until this spring," the company said in a statement. A spokesperson declined additional comment.
Earlier this year, prior to the June 24 launch of the black iPhone, Apple said it would delay availability of the white version of its iPhone 4 until the second half of July, contending the white models "have proven more challenging to manufacture than expected."
That timeline came and went, and in July, the company put off the date until later this year.
