Irvine, Calif. — Vizio said it is shipping its 2014 E-series LED LCD TVs with full-array backlighting and local dimming technology in select models.
The line is being carried by national retail accounts including Amazon, Best Buy, Costco, Sam’s Club, Target, and Walmart as well as on Vizio.com.
Many models in the E series also include the new Vizio Internet Apps Plus, a smart-TV platform with expanded app partners and functionality.
The E-series line offers screen sizes ranging from 23 inches to 70 inches.
Vizio offers full-array LED backlighting with from five to 18 active LED zones, depending on model and screen size, and local dimming technology on much of the line. Vizio claims the technology offers better light uniformity for a more vibrant picture.
Fast motion images have also been improved with the addition of Clear Action 180 technology on select models.
