is introducing at CEDIA Expo 2011 here this week three new home theater projectors highlighted by Full HD 1080p DLP model with 3D playback capability.
Model H1086-3D, shipping in December at a $1,500 suggested
retail, incorporates 2D to 3D conversion technology that takes existing 2D
content material from the HDMI input and converts it into Full HD 1080p 3D
pictures. It will display 3D content from 720p/1080i at 50/60Hz and 1080p at 24Hz
from 3D Blu-ray Disc players or other 3D sources.
Projector brightness is listed as 2,000 ANSI lumens, a 5,000:1 contrast ratio and will display 2.35:1 aspect ratio material.
The projector also features DLP, BrilliantColor and DLP Link technologies and additional 3D support for high-powered PCs.
Also slated for the show is D963 (shipping in October at a $2,200 suggested retail) 1080p DLP-based crossover projector, which is billed as a high-brightness multimedia projector.
The D963 features 4,500 lumens of brightness, a 3,000:1 contrast ratio (full on/off) and Full HD 1080p native resolution.
Other features include BrilliantColor technology and Vivitek's proprietary processing technology for improved color reproduction and automatic gain control.
