Tweeter Home Entertainment Group last week officially launched its Internet marketing joint venture with Outpost.com, adding an extensive manufacturer-authorized collection of entertainment electronics and accessories to the online computer products superstore operated by Cyberian Outpost.
The new site — Tweeter.Outpost.com (no www needed) — provides links to the existing Tweeter and Outpost sites.
Customers are offered full manufacturer warranties, free delivery in the United States (the largest product offered is a 27″ Panasonic TV) and a 30-day money-back guarantee. The site promises next-day delivery for products ordered by midnight Eastern time and features a 24-hour customer support hotline.
Among manufacturers signed on as suppliers are Advent, Aiwa, B&K, Bose, Boston Acoustics, JVC, JBL, Kenwood, Mission, Monster Cable, Panasonic, Philips, Samsung and Toshiba. Published reports to the contrary, Sony products aren’t yet offered, but Tweeter said their addition is pending Sony’s review of a Sony showcase to be set up within the site.
All of the products on the site are from Tweeter. Outpost is providing support functions, including delivery and other customer services.
