Swann Intros Sportscam

Santa Fe Springs, Calif. –


recently introduced a new waterproof mini SportsCam designed for
active videographers.

The security camera resource introduced the waterproof camera and
DVR combo at International CES in an attempt to reach out to a new consumer

Swann’s SportsCam carries a $99 suggested retail and will ship to
Swann’s retail network in February.

The SportsCam is housed in a rugged waterproof case and comes
with multiple mounting options for outdoor action shooting.

At the core of SportsCam is a color camera that can record 640 by
480 high-resolution video or still images.

The device stores recordings on a removable MicroSD card (up to
16GB) and is powered by a lithium-ion battery that recharges via USB and gives
the user 2.5 hours of life per charge.

Swann said the camera body is shock-proof and waterproof to a
depth of 65 feet.

Designed to simply be turned on and strapped on, the SportsCam
has no dials, gauges knobs or any preferences to configure.

Accessories that ship with the SportsCam include three Velcro
straps; a double-clipper; cord, arm and head straps; pouch; sport-clip;
multi-clip; waterproof pin clip and case clip; multi-bracket; Velcro for
bracket; two mounting screws; and silicon case.
