San Francisco — Good Guys retail president Cathy Stauffer has resigned from her post, effective yesterday.
No successor was named.
A spokesperson for parent company CompUSA described the move as “abrupt,” but no further details were immediately available.
Stauffer, a longtime veteran of the West Coast specialty A/V chain, was promoted from executive VP to president of Good Guys Retail in January following the departure of chairman/CEO Ken Weller. The personnel changes came on the heels of CompUSA’s $55 million acquisition of Good Guys in December.
It was not clear at press time when or if a successor will be named. — Additional reporting by Steve Smith
