Ridgefield Park, N.J. — Sony will ship higher-capacity and higher-speed versions of its Memory Stick flash memory to dealers this month.
A new PRO-HG Duo HX series includes a USB adapter and a 20MBps read and 15MBps write speed. It will be sold in 4GB and 8GB capacities for $54.99 and $99.99, respectively
The company will update its Memory Stick Entertainment Pack, which packages four Sony movies onto a 2GB ($34.99) or 4GB ($44.99) Memory Stick PRO Duo card (consumers can unlock only one movie). The new titles are: “Surf’s Up,” “The Da Vinci Code,” “Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby” and “Benchwarmers.”
Sony also added new SKUs in its M2 mobile memory line. The new cards come with a USB adapter and will be sold in 1GB, 2GB, 4GB and 8GB capacities for $24.99, $34.99, $44.99 and $79.99, respectively.
