Hoffman Estates, Ill. - Sears is jump-starting the post-Thanksgiving promotional period with a weekly series of "Black Friday Now" sales beginning this Saturday.
Doorbuster deals will be offered every Saturday from 7 a.m. to noon between Oct. 31 and Christmas. (Sales will begin this Friday at 5 p.m. due to Halloween, Sears said.)
CE specials include a 42-inch Zenith-brand plasma TV that will be reduced on Nov. 7 from $650 to $500. The Sears exclusive can also be pre-ordered on Sears.com beginning Oct. 29.
"Sears continues to look for ways to provide values to customers by offering a wide variety of products throughout the holidays," said chief marketing officer Don Hamblen.
Sears, and sister chain Kmart, will also continue their popular layaway programs, which allow customers to pay for their purchases in installments. Layaway options were recently added to their respective e-commerce sites as well.
