Scosche Goes Boom With Bluetooth

Oxnard, Calif. – Scosche
announced the follow up to its BoomCan portable speaker with the launch of the
BoomStream Bluetooth speaker.

The BoomStream,
available now for $99.99, uses Bluetooth 2.1 for streaming music and can work
with any Apple or Android device, the company said. Non-Bluetooth devices can
connect via the aux-in jack.

Features include two 40mm
drivers, a down-firing passive subwoofer, a 1,200 mA lithium-polymer
rechargeable battery and a brushed-aluminum surface. Frequency range is listed
at 90Hz to 20kHz. A built-in mic allows the BoomStream to also be used as a
speakerphone.

Up to eight hours of
continuous playback is possible, Scosche said, and it takes about 3.5 hours to
reach a full charge. It measures 6.7 inches by 2.5 inches by 2.1 inches.
