Wednesday a 120Hz 3LCD front projector capable of displaying up to 1080/24p FullHD
images.
Model PLV-Z4000 is positioned for home theaters and other HD
video applications. It includes a Sanyo-exclusive TopazReal HD system that is
said to include a 3D color-management system for images with high color
accuracy.
The system combines several advanced picture enhancing
technologies to create a high optical performance and sharp images, the company
said.
The system uses 14-bit digital signal processing and a real-focus
HD lens system with variable iris and lamp reactivity using a newly developed
high efficiency lens.
Inputs include dual HDMI 1.3b connectors with support for Deep
Color and x.v.Color. Brightness is rated at 1,200 ANSI lumens and contrast is
65,000:1.
Other qualities are said to be “superb black levels even in
ambient light conditions,” and the ability to find easy mounting and optical
features for a variety of room placements.
The PLV-Z4000 ($2,495 suggested retail) will ship in May.
