St. Paul, Minn. - Sanus Systems said it has begun shipping its VisionMount VLMF109 motorized full-motion mount.

The VLMF109 features an IR remote control and operates at 34dB, according to product manager Jeff Lasch, who said in a statement that the noise level "is as quiet as a library."

The mount can extend up to 9 inches from the wall and swivel up to 60 degrees. Its motor reportedly measures just less than 2 inches, and when retracted, the TV sits 2 inches from the wall. Two viewing angle presets are possible, and the mount automatically returns to its home position when it's turned off, Sanus said.

Other features include lateral shifts for sliding the TV left or right on the wall plate during installation, an open wall plate design, and an automatic setup feature.

The VLMF109, which can accommodate both 16-inch and 24-inch wall studs, has a list price of $429. It will work with flat-panel TVs from 37 to 56 inches and up to 110 pounds.
