Edison, N.J. - Sakar International has introduced a competitively priced compact digital camcorder for underwater use under its Vivitar brand.
The waterproof Vivitar DVR690HD can shoot 720p, 30 fps video and 5-megapixel still photos in depths of up to 10 feet, and features digital image stabilization, 4x digital zoom and 32GB SD card capacity.
The pocket camcorder has a 2-inch diagonal LCD screen, is HDMI compatible, and operates within a temperature range of 32 degrees to more than 100 degrees, Sakar said.
The unit ships with editing software and USB and composite A/V cables, and carries a suggested retail of $60.
