Plantronics Introduces Bluetooth VoIP Headset

Fountain Valley, Calif. — Plantronics announced a new addition to its VoIP telephony portfolio with the addition of a Bluetooth headset for making PC-based VoIP calls.

The Voyager 510-USB includes a Bluetooth USB adapter and offers multipoint technology for switching between multiple Bluetooth devices. The product works with both consumer level and enterprise level PC-based VoIP calling services from Skype, Nortel, AOL, Yahoo! and others.

The headset can also work with Bluetooth enabled mobile phones.

The headset features a noise-canceling microphone, one-touch call answer/end, last number redial and voice activated dialing (for mobile phones). The headset can be used up to 22 feet away from the Bluetooth adapter and features six hours of talk time and up to 100 hours of standby time.

It ships in June with a desktop charging stand, USB cable and three-foot USB extension cable for a suggested retail price of $199.
