Secaucus, N.J. –
Panasonic took the wraps off a pair of high-end noise-canceling headphones on
Tuesday.
Priced at $199,
the RP-HC700 headphones boast 40mm drivers with neodymium rare-earth magnets.
They reportedly block outside noise by 92 percent, and will operate when the
active noise-canceling feature is switched off. Frequency range is listed at
8Hz to 22kHz.
Other features
include an ultra-thin diaphragm made from natural fiber bio-cellulose,
synthetic leather ear pads, a folding design and a hard carrying case.
