New York – Optoma unveiled at the annual International CES press preview reception here Tuesday an under $1,000 720p high-definition DLP video projector, featuring improved color and brightness performance.
The new HD65 will carry a $999 suggested retail when it ships in December and is ultra-compact and light, weighing under five pounds. The projector offers both a smaller size and improved image performance over the company’s first under-$1,000 HD DLP video projector – the HD70, said Jon Grodem, Optoma senior product manager.
The tiny projector will offer 1,280 by 720p resolution, and includes inputs for HDMI 1.3, VGA (for PCs), component video, S-video and composite video.
