Delray Beach, Fla. – Office Depot inked a deal with DigiTerra Broadband enabling the office supplies chain to offer a wide variety of broadband Internet services through all of its stores.
The deal has DigiTerra creating a web-based interface that uses its BroadbandCompass software to link customers to a variety of broadband services from Comcast, EarthLink and America Online. The interface will inform the customer which services are available in their neighborhood and the store will sell the appropriate modem and self-installation kit. Office Depot is training sales associates and developing in-store demonstrations to assist customers.
Office Depot already sells broadband services for EarthLink and Comcast, in the regions they are available, but the DigiTerra application will simplify the customers job of choosing the correct carrier, the company said.
