Newegg's Luthi Joining

Aliso Viejo, Calif. - Bernard Luthi is leaving his senior VP post at to join as chief marketing officer.

Luthi, who has variously overseen marketing, merchandising, web management and customer service during his tenure at Newegg, will assume his new post in January.

No successor was announced., an early electronics e-tailer founded by Scott Blum in 1997, has since amassed 18 million customers and a wide assortment of categories that ranges from CE to sporting goods. The company, which was acquired in 2010 by leading Japanese Internet firm Rakuten, ranks 39


on TWICE's Top 100 CE Retailers listing, with $279 million in tech sales last year.
