Nationwide Show Registration Up 50%

Winston-Salem, N.C.
– Registration for the Nationwide Marketing Group’s (NMG) PrimeTime! meeting
and buy fair is up 50 percent from a year ago at this time, the buying
organization reported.

More than 1,000
independent dealers, exhibitors and other attendees have already registered for
the show, which will be held Feb. 28 through March 3 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, and another
2,000 are expected to register by the end of February, the group said.

“At this present
pace,” said executive VP Robert Weisner, “we anticipate [we’ll] beat our
attendance record from the last show in Vegas,” which was held in August 2008.

Despite the declining
economy, that event brought in more than 3,300 dealers and vendor representatives
from across the country.

“The recent
challenges have only strengthened our commitment to independent dealers,”
Weisner noted. “This PrimeTime! we will continue to educate and equip them with
new ways to succeed in these new days.”

The agenda includes
two days of free business courses specifically tailored to the independent
dealer, including a series on Web site development, management skills and
marketing techniques.

Other highlights
of PrimeTime! include a vendor exhibition showcasing popular brands, new
product launches and member service demonstrations, along with group meetings,
industry presentations, training sessions and power networking events.

dealers to effectively compete,” Weisner continued. “PrimeTime!’s solid
attendance record shows that we are the leader in providing the best programs
