Mydlink Passes 1 Million User Milestone

Fountain Valley, Calif. – D-Link said Tuesday that its “mydlink” Cloud Service has topped the million registered user milestone.

Mydlink was designed for people on the move, enabling monitoring a wireless network and streaming media remotely to any computer, iPhone, iPad or Android device.

Using the system, users can monitor Cloud Cameras, manage devices on Cloud Routers, or access files on Cloud Storage devices.

D-Link’s suite of free apps are said to simplify the process of setting up and remotely accessing systems and data over the Internet via virtually any computer and mobile device.

The mydlink ecosystem includes: the mydlink portal and suite of mydlink apps, D-Link’s Cloud Camera line, Cloud Routers and Cloud Storage devices.

A typical use for a mydlink-enabled Cloud Camera is to check on sleeping babies from the kitchen, look after elderly family members, or watch what’s happening in the back yard anytime, day or night.

In addition, new mydlink-enabled Cloud Routers offer consumers next-generation 802.11ac Wi-Fi speeds for uninterrupted video streaming, online gaming, and VoIP calling, and the ability to view browsing history or block wireless devices to monitor usage within a household.

The full suite of mydlink mobile apps, including mydlink Lite for iPhone and iPod Touch and mydlink+ for iPad, are now available on the App Store. Android versions of both apps can be found on Google Play. Windows Phone apps will be available in late Fall.
