Logitech Adds HD Web Cams

Fremont, Calif. – Logitech unveiled a new line of high-definition
Web cams that utilize the previously announced Logitech Vid HD software to make
free two-way HD video calls.

The flagship Logitech HD Pro C910 offers 720p video calling, FullHD
1080p video recording, 10-megapixel still photo captures, Logitech Fluid
Crystal technology for smoother motion and truer colors, and one-click HD
uploading to Facebook and YouTube. It boasts two microphones, one on either side
of the Web cam lens, for stereo sound, and a thin 25mm-deep form factor.

Other new Web cam models include the portable 8-megapixel HD Web cam
C510 with fold-and-go design and 360-degree rotation capability, and the
step-down 5-megapixel HD Web cam C310 and 3-megapixel HD Web cam C270.

“HD video calling is a critical step toward our vision of a world
in which video communication is as mainstream and seamless as a telephone call
— for anyone, anywhere,” said Eric Kintz, VP/GM of Logitech’s video business.
“With Logitech HD Web cams and Vid HD, you have everything you need to share,
to connect, to see the people that matter to you in breathtaking detail that
far surpasses the quality of embedded Web cams.”
