LG Launches ‘TurboWash’ Facebook Contest

Englewood Cliffs,
N.J. – LG Electronics has launched a “Less Mess. More Life” social-media
sweepstakes on Facebook to promote its new mega-capacity front-load washing
machine with TurboWash.

The washing
machine, which was designed to “save 20 minutes per load,” is called out in the
program, which can be found on

LGMessyMoments.com

.

The sweepstakes
encourages consumers to vote on the messiest household pictures that they would
like to fast-forward through. Voters will be eligible to win prizes, including
$100 gift cards.

By participating
in the contest, Facebook fans are also entered to win the LG TurboWash washer
and matching dryer, valued at more than $3,000.

The sweepstakes,
which runs through Aug. 31, will also feature a “time-saving laundry calculator”
to illustrate the 20-minute time savings per load that consumers can earn by
using LG’s new TurboWash technology.

Given average household laundry habits, 20
minutes saved per load equates to 2.5 hours per week.

In addition to
videos illustrating what happens when laundry takes over lives, the site shares
the messy moments picture rankings by other consumers, so fans can see how
they’re tracking against other voters.

LG bills its
Mega-Capacity TurboWash Washer as having “the largest capacity in the industry,”
capable of effectively cleaning a king-size comforter and full set of king
bedding in a single load.

The company said the
machine, which carries the 2012 Energy Star Most Efficient designation, also
cuts utility costs by washing more clothes in fewer loads.

The new washing
machines are available at a $1,399 suggested retail in white and $1,499 in
graphite steel.
