KEF introduced its newest custom-install speaker series in advance of CEDIA Expo.
The Extreme Home Theatre THX Ci-series custom-install speaker, Ci5160REF-THX, features four 6.5- inch bass drivers and KEF’s flagship 5-inch MF/HF Uni-Q array with a 1-inch vented aluminum dome tweeter at the acoustic center.
The new line is THX Ultra 2 certified with all of the detail, imaging, resolution and soundstage found in KEF’s existing Reference series, the company said.
The Ci5160REFTHX is finished with a brushed 11mm-thick aluminum front baffle.
It will be available in December and is expected to retail for $10,000.
