Iogear Adds To GearPower Charging Line

Foothill Ranch, Calif. – Iogear
has rolled out two new lightweight portable charging solutions for handheld

The new GearPower High Capacity
Mobile Power Station, model GMP6600P, is a dual-device charging solution for
all mobile USB and micro USB devices.

The power station’s rechargeable
lithium-polymer battery delivers 6,600 mAh, enough to charge two devices at
once, using the power station’s USB 2.1A and 1A power ports. The 1A port will
support most cellphones, smartphones, iPhones, iPods, BlackBerry devices,
digital cameras and MP3 players. The USB 2.1A port supports iPads, tablets and
other devices supported by USB 1A.

Before use, the power station
must be charged through a PC’s USB port or by using the Micro USB wall outlet
power adapter. A blue LED battery capacity indicator conveys the station’s current
power level.

Weighing in at a travel-friendly
12 ounces, the station also comes with a protective carrying case. It retails
for $79.95 and is available now.

Also new from Iogear is the
GearPower Portable Battery Pack for iPhone/iPod, which connects via a 30-pin
connector to provide up to four hours of additional talk time, 24 hours of
audio playback or eight hours of video playback, depending on usage and phone
settings, the company said. It boasts a slim 2.5- by 2.5-inch form factor and
retails for $24.95. It’s available now.
