Scottsdale, Ariz. -
Ingram Micro's consumer electronics
division (IMCE) has signed a national exclusive distribution agreement with The House of Marley, supplier of ear buds, headphones, docking stations, speakers and boomboxes.
With suggested retails ranging from $29.99 to $599, Marley products are comprised of three collections -- Jammin', Freedom and Destiny.
The distributor said The House of Marley audio products were developed with three main principles in mind: superior quality, being eco-friendly and "cause minded." This last one means that "for every product purchased, a portion of the money goes to 1Love [charity] causes that focus on charities that benefit youth, planet and peace," based on the inspiration for the line, the late singer and musician Bob Marley.
"We've spent the past year working with the Marley family to create The House of Marley and to meticulously design a collection of Marley audio products that are true to the vision of hope, unity and peace Bob Marley shared through his music and that is carried on by his family," said Alon Kaufman, CEO, The House of Marley.
"My father spread messages of love, hope, unity and peace through his music," said Rohan Marley, Bob's son, on behalf of the family. "It is the responsibility and mission of our family to bring his vision to a new generation. Marley audio products make perfect sense and are created with a focus on using sustainable products and providing exceptional sound that our family is proud to call our own."
Tim Coakley, merchandising and vendor management VP for IMCE, stated, "This partnership is a result of IMCE's initiative to provide our customers an increased selection of high-quality electronics at an affordable price."
